This is the first out of two EPs issued by "Stone Sour", which consists of five cover songs from bands the members love and were influenced by, and it was released on 18 April 2015.
Back in February of 2014 while "Stone Sour" was touring, Corey Taylor approached Josh Rand about "Stone Sour" doing a cover of the "Metal Church" song "The Dark" for the movie "Fear Clinic". Josh thought it would be cool not only to record "The Dark" but the five cover songs that the band use to play on that tour.
The idea was to pick songs that truly meant something to one of the band members at some point in their life.
It is the first "Stone Sour" recording to feature guitarist Christian Martucci after the departure of Jim Root in 2013 due to "musical differences" and bassist Johny Chow after the departure of Shawn Economaki in 2012.
Track List:
1. "We Die Young" (Alice in Chains cover)
2. "Heading Out to the Highway" (Judas Priest cover)
3. "Love Gun" (Kiss cover)
4. "Creeping Death" (Metallica cover)
5. "Children of the Grave" (Black Sabbath cover)
