- Tremonti - If Not for You
YES YES YES... It is here, the first single from Tremonti's next album and we are super excited !!! We absolutely adore this amazing musician which is not relaxing for a minute and really put it all in his solo career. Tremonti's fifth album is titled "Marching In Time" and scheduled to be release on September 24, 2021 via Naplam Records. Tremonti is now already familiarized with storytelling. He has never strayed from his love of writing memorable songs. With "Marching In Time", the band looks to continue this trend while exploring their love for heavy music, drawing from current events from the last year to form the basis of each song. While its predecessor, "A Dying Machine", was an overall concept album which was followed by a written novel, this is time is a bit different. "Marching In Time" emerging as a charging metal offering that takes the listener on 12 songs which each one of them tells a different story. It looks like the new album is a reflective look at the world around us today. Also, the band displays their softer side on some pensive tracks. Epic title track "Marching In Time" tells the story of a father having a child during a global pandemic and how he prepares for life during that time — something Mark Tremonti recently experienced in his own life — while upcoming single "If Not For You" shows the evolution of the TREMONTI sound in 2021. "Marching In Time" was produced by longtime friend and collaborator Michael "Elvis" Baskette — the producer Mark has worked with exclusively since 2007. "Marching In Time" track listing: 01. A World Away 02. Now And Forever 03. If Not For You 04. Thrown Further 05. Let That Be Us 06. The Last One Of Us 07. In One Piece 08. Under The Sun 09. Not Afraid To Lose 10. Bleak 11. - Yes - The Ice Bridge
Friday Release # 101 A new song, the first in 7 years for the band "Yes". The song "Ice Bridge" is also the first the band has released since bassist and founding member Chris Squire had died and is part of the band's 22nd album which is set to be released on October 1, 2021. The band consists today of guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, keyboardist Geoff Downes singer Jon Davison who this will be his second album with the band and bassist Billy Sherwood who has been working with the band members since 1989, when he was joined by Chris Squire to replace Jon Anderson who left The band to join the band "Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe". Since then, Sherwood has served as guitarist and keyboardist for the band "Yes", all as needed, and as mentioned, since the death of Chris Squire, he has moved to the position of bassist. The song whose first notes remind us of the melody and sound of "Fanfare for the Common Man" by "Emerson, Lake & Palmer" was written by Downes and Davison inspired by global warming. The songs on the album were mostly written in 2019 and some in 2020. The album was recorded in various locations around the globe as a result of the constraints of the band members adapted by limitations of covid-19. The album was produced by guitarist Steve Howe, who noted that he made sure to add orchestral arrangements to enrich and thicken the band's already rich sound. - Alcatrazz - Sword of Deliverance
Friday Release # 103 A new single, the second in number, from an album on the way to the band "Alcatrazz". Apparently something good is happening with "Alcatrazz" that releases a second single in a month and plans to release a second album in a year, after 34 years of drought. "Alcatrazz" was formed in 1983, and combined a mix of heavy metal and melodic rock performed by guitarists Yngwie J. Malmsteen and later Steve Vai. That same year the band released their debut album "No Parole from Rock 'n' Roll", which featured the hit "Island in the Sun". The band continued to build popularity with the album "Disturbing the Peace" which was released in 1985 and included the hit "God Blessed Video". After the third album "Dangerous Games" from 1986, "Alcatrazz" disbanded and for 34 years did not release any new material. As you may recall, the trigger for the release of the comeback album "Born Innocent" in 2020 were three reunion shows of the band, which were held in 2017 in Japan. The performances were recorded on the album / DVD called - Parole Denied - Tokyo 2017, and the reactions the band received pushed the members to write new material. The album "Born Innocent" featured a reunion of the legendary singer Graham Bonnet with two of the original band members, keyboardist Jimmy Waldo and bassist Gary Shea, with guitarist Joe Stump known from the bands "Trash Broadway" and "Reign of Terror", among others and Mark Benquechea on drums. This band continues with us for the next album, except for singer Graham Bonnet who retired from the band during 2020. His replacement is none other than the legendary Doogie White, who was known among others as the frontman of Rainbow, "Yngwie Malmsteen", Michael Schenker and more. In June we got the first single from the new album "V" that is due out in the fall of 2021. The song "Turn of the Wheel" was the first written by the new band featuring singer Doogie White who noted that he was amazed when he first heard the riff. We now get the second and excellent single "Sword of Deliverance" which proves it's probably going to be an amazing second album in a row. The release date of the album "V" has not yet been announced, this is the fifth album (V) of "Alcatrazz" and according to the band the letter "V" also refers to the word "Victory" as they see it as a victory of the band returning stronger than ever despite all odds. - Matt Bellamy - Cryosleep
What's the connection between a blonde telecaster guitar, a classic by Simon and Garfunkel, Game of Thrones⚔️ and crypto technology? ...Cryosleep - Matt Bellamy?🤔 ... last year, Muse's lead singer released his Simon and Garfunkel's cover the legendary 'Bridge over troubled water' which is included among his 10 new EP songs, along with his original song 'Pray' which starred in the cult series 'Game Of Thrones⚔️' and his "Covid-19 Song" titled - 'Tomorrow's World'. Simon and Garfunkel's Cover: The Covid period even caused him to make changes to his own repertoire, with a new version of Muse's "Guiding Light". This version has an iconic item that might "steal the show" of the actual performance, a blonde Telecaster Guitar from 1983, underwent rigorous testing by Bellamy's team, before the purchase, to verify that this is indeed the guitar Jeff Buckley used while recording the Imortal "Grace" album. It turns out that Bellamy was so influenced by Buckley, not only because he was so tremendous and unique, but he gave him hope🙏. Bellamy began his musical career in the 90's and as someone who was and still recognized by his high-pitched voice, he had no confidence against the heavier and more aggressive grunge sounds that dominated at the time. After hearing Buckley's 'Grace' he saw how beautiful is the combination of the high voice in rock music, which gave him confidence and courage to believe in himself and his music. Before the release of the EP, Bellamy put up for auction (proceeds went for charity) a special edition of 3 of the EP's songs in Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) files 💽 ... coded by crypto technology, specially for digital assets. These files are becoming more popular in the field of digital art that now days anyone get ... but these files, apart from the quality files that comes straight from the artists, get a unique and original digital signature that matches the collectors' market, like any signature of a great painter in the corner of his paintings🖌️! It's nice that Blamey is trying and advancing with his art alongside technology, in order to make his mark (literally) on his work even via the common form of digital consumption. Still, behind every technology, it's still an art ... that sometimes comes out mesmerizing and sublime over the time. I wonder if Bellamy's art today will become like this... like the immortal 'bridge over troubled water' or Buckley's blonde telecaster that was part of 'Grace'... there are those who would like to hear new interpretations and have someone else play on the guitar of a late hero. But there are those who will say that certain songs and guitars, should be left as they are, without anyone else's touch ... What do you think? 🤔 Spotify: Click Here. Youtube: Click Here. Even in the case of Bellamy, history will probably speak and decide for us. Good and blessed week 🙏 O.Miz 🎧 The Wiz Facebook Page
- U.D.O. - Metal Never Dies
Friday release # 100 A new song from a new forthcoming album from "U.D.O." Of Udo Dirkschneider, who just don't stop for a moment and continues to release materials from several projects simultaneously. July 2020, U.D.O. Collaborated with "Das Musikkorps der Bundeswehr", the military band of the German Federal Armed Forces, on an album "We Are One". This album included a collaboration with his former bandmates Peter Baltes (bass) and Stefan Kaufmann (guitar) and it led to the formation of a new band called "Dirkschneider & The Old Gang" which released three songs and a mini album called "Arising" in August 2020. Later, in March 2021, the band U.D.O.'s fifth live album "Live in Bulgaria 2020 - Pandemic Survival Show" was released. The Album was recorded on September 18, 2020, and was one of the only shows of such magnitude in front of an audience during the Covid-19 period. Today we are already announcing that the band U.D.O, will release their new album "Game Over", on October 22, 2021 when the leading single from it with the binding name "Metal Never Dies" released today. As can only be understood from the album's title, "Game Over", continues the line of "We Are One" and warns that if humanity does not reconsider a change of behavior, it may find itself facing deadly consequences. The line of protest that calls for the world to awaken can also be learned from the title of the songs themselves. For example, "Prophecy," "Marching Tank" or "Kids And Guns" which deals with increased arms sales and regulation in the U.S. arms industry, leading to higher homicide rates. This is the band's first studio album in 3 years, since the excellent "Steelfactory" LP released in 2018. This is the first time the band has written an entire album with the band's two new members, bassist Tilen Hudrap and guitarist Dee Dammers, who have already visited Israel in a performance at the Havana Club Club in Tel Aviv in April 2019. A new song by George Harrison, an outtake from the recordings of the immortal album "All Things Must Pass", which suddenly popped up now on the occasion of the 50th anniversary release of the album, which is due out on August 6, 2021. It turns out that when we wrote that in the album "All Things Must Pass" George Harrison's "volcano" erupted, we did not really understand that the echoes of this explosion would continue to resonate even 50 years later... It turns out that the song "Cosmic Empire" released today in its original demo version and without any production is just one of 17 new outtakes and 30 demos (!!!), which did not enter the triple and masterful album. It's just crazy!!! - Nothing But Thieves - Futureproof
Our latest falling in love "Nothing But Thieves" just dropped a new single !! We are very excited with this new song which sounds like a great evolvement from the previous album "Moral Panic" which came out last year. They have a very simple structure and dynamics but their sound and power are addictive, the integration of Conor Mason vocals with rest of band sound is absolutely amazing. From the first note they grab you, at the beginning it is gentle but than it is getting more and more strong. The band said they were inspired by the Hip-Hop dynamic sound, they compare between some of their heavier songs and the more aggressive side of hip hop which they wanted to try and get with this song. The band said: “It’s dark and chromatic and then it’s mixed like a hip hop track with loud drums and vocals. The idea was to try and explore that territory in the most authentic and fresh way.” Follow us on Facebook or Subscribe to the website "Face/Off" - Israel's Rock Blog & Radio show, Sundays at 11:00

- David Lee Roth - Giddy-Up
Singer David Lee Roth has released a brand new song called "Giddy-Up", as part of a planned 11-track album whose date has yet to be released. The song "Giddy-Up" was first introduced in November 2020 when Roth released a 17-episode online comic book called "The Roth Project", written and drawn by David Lee Roth himself (for those who have not listened and watched - recommended). David also painted the cover of the single. The online comic included four more songs: "Somewhere Over the Rainbow Bar and Grill," "Alligator Pants," "Lo-Rez Sunset" and "Manda Bala," all written and recorded with guitarist / bassist John 5 in collaboration with drummer Gregg Bissonette, Keyboardist Brett Tuggle and percussionist Luis Conte. David and John have collaborated on a number of additional songs that are planned to be released in an album that will include 11 songs. These are materials Roth wrote for his solo career and for Van Halen, but were not released. - Thirty Seconds to Mars - Hail to the Victor
Thirty Seconds to Mars are celebrating the post-Covid-19 return to live music with a new video for “Hail to the Victor,” taken from their 2018 album America. It looks like they were missing their fans, their music and their shows. A music video which is a celebration of freedom, out of the lockdown, out of the limitations and back to music, back to live shows. Not surprising that they choose this electro hype pop song, 3 years after the album America was out. - Loud 🖤 Love - Chris Cornell 20/07/1964 - 18/05/2017
One day when I was 14, I read in the daily newspaper a review of two masterpieces that came out at the time, "Gentleman" by The Afghan Whigs and the other was Soundgarden's "Superunknown" ... these were my first years on my musical journey. That day, I went to the record store on a nearby street and listened to the marvel called Soundgarden and the unique, unrecoverable voice of Chris Cornell. From then until today my life has evolved and changed, Chris has also evolved and changed... for me while listening, even 4 years after he left. He created more wonderful and less wonderful things ... but always the same voice, the intensity (and in retrospect also with pain), they were an integral part of my life soundtrack. When I was alone, together with my amazing friends and later, even intensified with my beloved wife and our precious young daughters. To this day he is the artist we have seen the most ... every visit to the holy land, we were there. His death hit me so unexpectedly. Even after I lost relatives, I did not describe how you could feel that way with the physical loss of someone ... especially one you did not know personally. Crying in the office and not realizing / believing that I feel it in such a sharp way ... the tears have flowed and occasionally the same teary eyes revisit. Why? Through the sounds, words, emotion and messages he tried to convey / still conveys to us, every time we listened something that he touched... like any form of communication, he had an authenticity that penetrated, alongside rare talent he evoked empathy... as it also felt in every moving cover he performed ... as if without much effort "became his own". In retrospect, through the lyrics, Chris carried a lot more pain than we described ... and if we had to pick one song, it was easy to pick one with pain, that connects us to the last stop in our relationship - "the Farewell" with all the bumming emotions that comes with it. But he, like his music, evokes a lot more emotions ... and they keep pounding ... Through the masterpieces with Temple Of The Dog, Soundgarden, Audioslave or the marvelous solo career, there is a connection of sounds and words that resonate and remind us that it is woven into our souls. Thank god🙏 for the privilege that we got and still get,to have this as part of the soundtrack in our lives ... like this song, it was and still is a thunderous ...LOUD.. LOVE ...this way we did got to know each other! Soundgarden - Loud 🖤 Love The Wiz On Facebook
