On January 29, 2021, Steven Wilson released the album "The Future Bites".
This is Steven Wilson's sixth solo album that was supposed to be released in June 2020 but the release was postponed due to the Covid-19 crisis.
Wilson began releasing material from the album back in March 2020 and until the official release of the album we had time to listen to five different singles that were released from it.
In this album Wilson deepens his experience in pop, dance and electronica with a collection of 9 songs whose style is light years away from the first and excellent solo albums "Insurgentes" and "The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories)".
Whether you liked the audacity that brought about a change in the musical style or not, you have to take your hat off to this versatile and prolific musician who seems to be able to reinvent himself every time.
