On October 13, 2008, the fourth album "The Way of All Flesh" by the French and special metal band "Gojira" was released. Singer and band leader Joe Duplantier was 30 when they worked on the album, he is the main creator and also the producer of the album.

He said that the album talks about everything we experience until we die. Until that time, death was not something he thought about and before creating the album he started thinking and talking about this topic called death. He reflected on this on the album.
The heaviness here is about more than sheer force: the cyclical riffs and Mario Duplantier’s precise drumming create an almost ritualistic atmosphere, particularly on "The Art of Dying". Logan Mader, who handled drum engineering, mixing and mastering, gave that complexity a sharp, weighty sound. On "Adoration for None", Randy Blythe, vocalist of "Lamb of God", adds another abrasive voice to the album’s confrontation with life and death.
