The Wiz: Starbenders

Take a blender. Add punk, platform shoes, pop melodies, big hair and heavy eye makeup, glam rock, attitude, a little new wave and plenty of glitter. You will probably end up with something resembling "Starbenders".

Uplifting, fun and carefree music that, naturally, works even better live, complete with the outfits and all that energy!

Today, Sunday, the Atlanta quartet uploaded half an hour of themselves rocking out at Maze Studios, with everything from that blender thrown in.

The band formed in 2014 around singer, guitarist and main songwriter Kimi Shelter, who sometimes resembles a modern fusion of Joan Jett and Siouxsie Sioux, both visually and musically.

The video and its Valentine's timing coincide with a reissue of their second album, "Love Potions", a year after its original release. This expanded "Zodiac Edition" adds bonus material.

If at least two or three of those blender ingredients appeal to you, give it a spin and take a taste.

This edition also comes through the diverse and respected Sumerian Records, whose roster has included "The Smashing Pumpkins", "Korn" singer Jonathan Davis and "Body Count"!
