The Wiz: Prince Pt. 1
The genius of the little Prince #1:
Ever since I first saw this video, a year or two ago, I keep coming back to it. There are some seriously formidable musicians on that stage. And who gets to play the closing solo?
I am not a great devotee of solos, but moments like this make me realize what a gigantic genius this little Prince was!
And beyond the playing, what a show! A mic-drop moment, or in his case, a literal guitar drop, before he strolls offstage with the nonchalance of a pimp. A legend!
P.S. Notice how delighted young Harrison is with the show: Dhani Harrison, playing acoustic guitar behind Tom Petty.
