Lucid Sins - 😵Cursed! (LP, 2021)
A little about "Lucid Sins" - 😵"Cursed!" (LP, 2021)
A duo from present-day Scotland making rock and psychedelia with an old-fashioned flavor, touches of prog and folk... Yesterday they released a new album through French label "Totem Cat Records", and here's a taste.
The video🎦 for "The Sun and the Moon" is made from old, or old-looking, nature and landscape footage🌄. Both its imagery and its psychedelic editing fit the spirit of the music beautifully.
Their debut, "Occultation" (2015), was relatively rougher and drew on the darker side of 1970s rock and psychedelia, with riffs⚡ and nods toward proto-metal.
On their second album, "Cursed!", released yesterday, the reverb-soaked vocals remain, while the aggressive riffs have receded a little. This time you hear more Hammond organ, which, along with the prog seasoning, gives much of the album greater depth and a dreamier quality, contributing to its rainbow🌈 vibe.
Enjoy! (...the trip/music)
