The Wiz: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
After releasing their 16th album in November and squeezing out another live record along the way, "King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard" have no intention of letting the pandemic or 2021 slow their outrageous creative pace. In February they will complete their initials, following November's "K.G." with "L.W." and ten more new songs.
I wonder where their psychedelic stream will flow this time, and whether 2021 will become another 2017, the year they released five albums.
The first single, released a few weeks ago and set to open the album, is very pleasant, a little funky and relatively light compared with their faster, more intricate material. The video remains wonderfully strange, with some seriously cool animation.
