Journey - Don't Stop Believin'

Don't Stop Believin'...

On February 25, 2021, the song "Don't Stop Believin'" by "Journey" crossed the threshold of one billion listens on Spotify.

In doing so, the song joins "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the handful of songs on the prestigious list, with songs that crossed the threshold of one billion listens.

The band's guitarist Neal Schon celebrated the important achievement at "Twitter", sharing a screenshot of "Journey's" homepage on "Spotify", with the song topping the list with over a billion plays.

It is interesting to note, that since Covid-19 broke out, the song has been used as an "anthem" by medical teams in the US and has undergone a major refinement, which has probably led to a spike in its playbacks.

Another contribution to the song many plays, can be attributed to the fact that it accompanied the ending scene of the masterpiece series "The Sopranos".

The song is taken from the band's seventh album "Escape" which celebrated 40 years in 2021.

In January 2024, the song won another amazing title, when it was crowned by "Forbes" magazine as "The Biggest Song Of All Time", after the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) announced that the song's sales figures reached 18 platinum, i.e. At least 18 million sales in the United States alone.
