It happened at "Nipmuc Regional" in Mendon, Massachusetts.
The band members had to exercise some "protection" to get the show. Guitarist Joe Perry's mother, who worked at a nearby school, knew someone at "Nipmuc School" and helped organize the show for her son and friends.
At the time Ray Tabano was the band's rhythm guitarist and he was replaced by Brad Whitford just a year later.
A ticket to the show cost 50 cents and the band earned only $ 50 for it.
The setlist consisted mostly of cover versions of "The Yardbirds", "Fleetwood Mac", "The Rolling Stones", "Led Zeppelin" and more.
Here is list of songs played on that historic evening:
1. Route 66 (Bobby Troup)
2. Rattlesnake Shake (Fleetwood Mac) 3. Happenings Ten Years Time Ago (The Yardbirds) 4. Movin' Out 5. Somebody 6. Think About It (The Yardbirds) 7. Walking the Dog (Rufus Thomas) 8. Live With Me (The Rolling Stones) 9. Great Balls of Fire (Jerry Lee Lewis) 10. Good Times Bad Times (Led Zeppelin) 11. The Train Kept A-Rollin' (Tiny Bradshaw)
