On January 8, 1979, "Rush" received the official title "Ambassadors of Music" of Canada.

The title "Ambassadors of Music" was given to the three band members at a ceremony held on January 8, 1979.
The explanatory notes read as follows:
"We wish to recognize the international aspect of the music by this talented Canadian musical group and note the interest shown by American audiences in both performances and recordings."
It is interesting to note that although Canada has other great musicians, to this day this title was given only to "Rush" and this undoubtedly testifies the tremendous contribution of the band and the much appreciation it receives in its home country.
