We are more than happy to inform you that "Deep Purple" released a old-new single just a few hours ago.
Why are we happy? Well, is it really not clear, to you? Then Just read the review for the album Whoosh! and see how we almost sent these amazing guys to retirement..
Why New-Old? Because this is a cover version of a classic song by the folk-rock-psychedelic band "Love". At this point, the song is released for listening on all streaming platforms, and in exactly one week you will also be able to watch a video clip shot here:
This is the first single from an album on the way - "Turning to Crime" which is due out on November 26, 2021. This will be the first studio album of "Deep Purple" which is made entirely of songs not written by the band, but from cover versions to other artists.
The band members said that in order to pass the time during the covid-19 lockdowns they decided to record cover versions of the songs they love. Each of the members chose a few songs and they started recording in "remote control" method.
The person who will produce the album will be Bob Ezrin who, among others, produced their latest excellent album Whoosh! Which was released last year.
